If a pregnant injection drug user or pregnant substance user has been referred to PMHC for Co-Occurring D &A OP/ IOP level of care, she will be offered treatment services within 48 hours of receiving appropriate level- of- care recommendation and documentation from assessment site.
PMHC will work closely with probation/parole/drug court and other county agencies to help facilitate court- ordered outpatient treatment
The focus of any treatment modality is to help the client on their path to Recovery.
A person seeking Co-occurring Substance Abuse services must first obtain a Drug & Alcohol specific level- of- care assessment at specified assessment sites to determine whether the treatment needs require GOP or IOP. The assessment site completes necessary documentation and refers potential client to PMHC for co-occurring services.
Potential clients that have completed the above step come to PMHC as a “walk-in” during business hours and request an agency intake and a determination will be made jointly with a mental health professional about what services the person is eligible for and further recommendations will be discussed. . Insurance verifications are completed or other various payment options are also discussed. The following documentation and/or forms of ID are required: Driver’s License or State ID, Social Security card, Insurance Cards or paperwork verifying the insurance, oftentimes a paystub or tax papers also help determine eligibility or fee agreements, names & phone numbers of involved physicians such as PCP’s and other emergency contacts.
Upon receipt of internal referral, individual counseling sessions and groups are scheduled.
Therapy is individualized and is considered complete through a collaborative approach between client and counselor.
A determination will be made once insurance verification occurs. PMHC’s Co-occurring Substance Abuse Services Program accepts Magellan Health Choices ( MBH). If there is no insurance, please go to local Department of Public Welfare Office and complete an application for eligibility or complete the application on-line (COMPASS) and bring a copy to PMHC for proof. Arrangements can also be made to self-pay.
