PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION SERVICES: PMHC Psychosocial
Rehabilitation Services (PRS) address the needs of mental health consumers for
whom the traditional Partial Hospital and Outpatient services may not be the
complete answer. PRS offers
consumers a wide range of activities geared to meeting consumers’ long-term
psychological/psychiatric as well as social and functional needs.
PMHC Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services are
based upon the specific models, which focus on encouraging active client
contribution, setting and meeting specific goals, and acquiring skills to
improve independence and illness management.
The PRS Program participants are referred to as members and are
encouraged to accept responsible tasks; the goal being to nurture a sense of
empowerment. Members benefit from
active contribution, skill development, meeting new friends, developing
vocational and leisure interests, and mutual support.
