How do I apply for services?

Individuals may apply for services by contacting the Main Center by telephone (215-752-1541) during daytime working hours. Please listen to the entire recorded message to contact the appropriate person.

How does it work?

An intake worker will help to determine if our services can meet the individual's needs. Eligible persons are accepted as clients of PMHC without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, or disability.

What insurances are accepted? 

You can contact our main center by telephone (215-752-1541) during daytime working hours and determine if your medical insurance is accepted by Penndel Mental Health Center. Please listen to the recorded message regarding the contacting of the appropriate person for your insurance questions.

What if this is a psychiatric emergency?

Please contact crisis intervention for crisis and emergency services which are available 24 hours a day: call 215-785-9765

What about Intellectual Disabilities services?

To apply for Intellectual disabilities services  please call (215-442-0760) and ask for intake.

 

When do I arrive for my first outpatient Intake appointment?

We now have open access for new consumers. Please come Monday-Thursday 8:00am-2:00pm Friday 8:00am-12:00 (noon) * Saturday appointment only

Expect to arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment to complete the paperwork that is needed prior to you or your child seeing an intake specialist.  Please bring insurance card, family income proof and custody/custodial documentation if applicable. The intake person will conduct a thorough interview and discuss all your treatment options.

How does it work if I need medication?

You may discuss medication issues with one of our psychiatrists who will work with you and make medication recommendations as needed. 

What do I do if I need to cancel an appointment?

It is necessary to call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment by contacting the Main Center by telephone (215-752-1541) during daytime working hours. Your therapist and or doctor will give you their individual extension numbers to contact them directly.
