Intake and Referral – Mental Health Services

Individuals who would like to register for Mental Health services from Penndel Mental Health Center must first meet with the Mental Health Professionals who staff the Intake Unit.  Upon arrival during our drop in hours, individuals will meet initially with Intake support staff to gather demographic information and clarify financial and insurance information.  At that time, clinical intake staff will complete an initial assessment to obtain reason(s) for seeking treatment and to gather history.  Based on that assessment, appropriate referrals are then made to PMHC’s various programs as well as outside referrals to other providers /agencies when necessary.

PMHC serves residents of Bucks County regardless of age providing treatment for many types of problems and disorders for both adults and children.  We accept Medical Assistance (MA/ Medicaid/ Magellan), Medicare and a variety of private insurances.  If you are uncertain as to any insurance/financial issues contact the intake line at 752-1541×1741 and leave a message.  If you have no insurance your fees are based on your family income.  Besides your financial information, you need to provide written proof that you have applied for Medical assistance before treatment can be provided.  If you have no income please bring a notarized letter stating you are not working and have no income.

PMHC has drop in hours for intake with no appointments needed Monday-Thursday 8:00-2:30 and Friday 8:00-12:00.  We can schedule an appointment for Saturday between 9:00-1:30 if you cannot come in during the week.   You can drop in or call to get information as to what you need to bring with you.  But in general please bring:
